5th grade is working hard in math!

Check out the hands on learning happening in 5th grade. Our students were exploring the relationship between multiplication and division. Students also work in collaborative groups which allows them to share their thinking and support one another while they learn.

Peace Patrol

Our beavers are taking on a new form of leadership this year with their participation in peace patrol. This great group presented to our first, second and third graders at lunch. They will be out at recess to help our younger beavers with problem solving on the playground. Check out these vests!

Folsom History Museum

3rd grade took a field trip to the Folsom History Museum. While there, students learned about blacksmiths, took a gold panning lesson, took a tour of items focusing on Folsom's industries and so much more!

4th grade visited the Gold Bug Mine where they were able to discover the art of hard rock mining.

Crocker Art Museum

5th grade visited the Crocker Art Museum, a renowned museum for European master drawings, international ceramics, and the world's foremost display of California art.

Kinder Feast

Our kindergarteners eager to celebrate our traditional, Kinder Feast, with their family and friends. Kindergarteners spend a day preparing stuffing, zuchinni bread, and pies for guest to enjoy at this event.

Theater Production The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

Green Oaks had its first theater production of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. This heartwarming children’s musical is based on the award winning book an animated short film by the same title and was presented by select 3rd through 5th grade students. Thank you to Mr. Danz and Mrs. Mayfourth, staff members, volunteers and students for all your hard work putting this production together.

Applications for the State Seal of Civic Engagement open through March 13

Applications for the State Seal of Civic Engagement are now open. This opportunity is available to 11th and 12th-grade students who are engaged in their coursework, show a solid understanding of U.S. and California government, have participated in one or more meaningful civic engagement projects that address a real-world issue and demonstrate a commitment to positively impact their school, community and/or society.
