Choir

Green Oaks Choir focuses on sharing the gift of music, through singing, as one beautiful voice. All 4th-5th graders who love music, come join choir.  We meet every Thursday, 2:05-3:20pm in the MP room. Click here for Permission Slip!

The students are always being challenged to grow musically through learning the fundamentals of correct singing while having fun doing it! Being a part of the Green Oaks Choir not only teaches students how to sing but also how to work together, to respect others, listening skills in many areas, and it’s a great place to make new friends. Each year we have a winter and spring concert. We also share our music with the whole school body in several school assemblies. Our selections include a wide variety of music from traditional folk songs to current pop.  We love to sing songs with great stories, which are sometimes very entertaining, funny, and unique.  We are always looking for ways to share our joy of singing with others in the community, as well. We ask for a donation of $20 to provide a t-shirt and choir materials. Please contact the school office or our Choir Director, Mrs. Mayforth with any questions. I look forward to singing with you!
