Principal's Message

August 2024

Dear Beaver Families,

Welcome back to a new school year! We are thrilled to have our students return and to see the school buzzing with energy and excitement once again. Whether you are a returning family or new to our community, we extend a warm welcome to each of you.

On behalf of all our Green Oaks Fundamental staff, we hope that you were able to enjoy some summer fun together with friends and family in ways that you found most fulfilling. Now, it’s time to come back together.

At Green Oaks Fundamental we will continue to support all students in reaching their full potential. We believe in the academic and behavioral success of each one of our students.  We also understand that home support is essential in reaching achievement and therefore, we welcome volunteers with wide open arms. 

Our teachers and instructional staff have committed to continue the 24-25 school year with a Math Recovery professional development focus and we are excited to see growth in our students’ academic achievement in areas of math, as well as literacy.  In addition to maintaining our learning focus, we also believe in sustaining a positive school climate in and outside of the classroom where we can all come together. Students also play a key role in this work and will be participating once again in their own growth through the Second Step Social Emotional Program.

One of the most exciting aspects of our school is our robust PTA. Our board members have exciting plans for us this school year and they have been putting in many hours over the summer to ensure that everyone has an excellent experience at all of our events.
